Frequently asked questions
Answers from across BidcoreAI. Looking for something specific? Search the site.
What do the plans cost?
Pricing depends on how many people are bidding and how many projects you run at once, so we quote it rather than list it. Book a demo and you will have a figure the same day — there is no multi-week procurement dance.
Which plan should I start on?
Starter suits a single estimator who needs takeoff, CSI estimating and proposals. Pro adds the risk analyser, bid leveling and a team. Premium is for firms that need org-wide directories, onboarding and priority support.
Is the Go/No-Go analyzer really free?
Yes, and it is free on every plan including no plan at all. It runs on your own SAM.gov API key, so the results and the rate quota are yours. No card, no trial clock.
Can I move between plans later?
Yes. Your cost database, takeoffs and proposal history stay with your workspace, so changing tier does not mean rebuilding anything.
Do you do the takeoff for us?
We can. Our experienced US Estimators measure your drawings and deliver the quantities straight into your project. It is an add-on on Starter and Pro, and included on Premium.
What happens on a demo?
We run your own solicitation through it — scope extraction, risk flags, takeoff and a draft proposal — so you judge it on your work rather than a sample project.
How do I find the Indian BidcoreAI interface?
BidcoreAI has a version for India at bidcore.in . Use the country selector in the top bar and choose IN , and you will be taken to bidcore.in, where you can explore the India software, public tenders and marketplace, sign up, and sign in to the Indian BidcoreAI workspace. This site, bidcoreai.com, is the US version.
Do I need separate takeoff software?
No. The takeoff workspace is part of the platform, so quantities and the estimate live in one project. If you already use another tool, you can import its output instead.
Can your estimators do the takeoff instead?
Yes — our Experienced US Estimators can measure the set for you and deliver the quantities into your project. See Takeoff Services.
What document types can it read?
PDF, Word and Excel. Drawings, specifications, statements of work, solicitations and addenda all attach to the same project.
Does it replace reading the specs?
No — it makes sure the reading happens. It surfaces scope and requirements so a person reviews a structured list instead of hunting through hundreds of pages.
How is this different from the Go/No-Go analyzer?
The Go/No-Go analyzer scores an opportunity against your company before you commit — codes, set-aside, bonding, distance, deadline. This reads the bid documents themselves once you are in, and reports risk inside the terms.
Does it give legal advice?
No. It surfaces clauses and requirements for a person to review. The judgement stays with your team.
Do I have to use your cost data?
No. The database is yours — you can build it from your historical costs, and keep it private to your organisation. Benchmark data is available if you want a starting point.
Can I estimate before the takeoff is done?
Yes. Historical area cost per square foot gives an early conceptual number, which you replace with line-item detail as the takeoff progresses.
Where does the sub list come from?
Your own directory, imported or added manually, plus a radius search when you need coverage in an area you have not bid in before.
What does leveling actually show?
Each bid against the same scope, with what a sub excluded, what they added as an alternate, and where a package has no coverage at all.
Is the output federal-compliant?
The section structure follows what federal solicitations ask for — RFP, IFB, IDIQ, RFQ and Sources Sought. A person still reviews it against the specific solicitation before submitting.
Can I use our own boilerplate?
Yes. Your proposal boilerplate library is kept in the platform and pulled into drafts.
